Implementation

I cannot stress enough how important policies and procedures are in any business.  However, it is also important to note that there is no point in having them in place if no one knows about them or understands what they mean.  A lot of businesses miss the most important step: Implementation! 

All employees should know what policies exist, understand what they mean and know how to apply them to their every day work.  This is ensured through induction and periodical information sessions where employees acknowledge and sign off on their understanding.  

This necessary step does not only allow for consistent productivity but also reduces your risks when it comes to managing employee conduct and following a disciplinary process.
